Anaaj Daan
Every year Lions Club of Thane North visit orphanages and senior citizen care centres for voluntary cash donations, food, cloths, utensils and toys distributions among the occupants. Every year members of Lions Club of Thane North visit many old age homes, orphanages to spend quality time with the occupants and spread love and happiness in their lives. Such visits are generally organized during Diwali, Navratri or other ocassion to share and celebrate with them.
One of the Ashrams that Club regularly visits is Jan Kalyan Sevashram located at Panvel. In the form of Anaaj Daan club offers money that is voluntarily donated by club members, friends and family members of club members and other generous citizens for this good cause.
Club also donates used cloths and utensils that are in good condition and can be used at the Ashram. Kids of members also come forward to give away their toys, bucycles, and other useful items that are cherished and used by children at the orphanages.
Every visit is marked by women members of the Club preparing delicious home cooked healthy food items, snacks and sweets to serve and eat with the inmates and enjoy a memorable day with everybody at the Ashram.
Each visit and the interaction with the children and senior citizen is a heart warming experience for the Thane Northians.
