Medical Camps and Operations
Through out the year, Lions Club of Thane North organizes many medical camps free for public and also conducts free operations in association with Jupiter Hospital, Thane. Lions across India celebrate nationwide October Service Week during the first week of October. The Service Week begins on the significant day of Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October).
During this Service Week, Lions Club of Thane North organizes Mega Medical Camps at Thane Railway Station in association with Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh.
Services offered during this camp are:
- Blood Donation Drive
- Diabetes Check-up
- Eye Check-up
- Organ Donation Awareness Drive
And others.
Besides this Camp during the Service Week, Lions Club of Thane North organizes many other medical camps at different locations for the benefit and spreading the good word of health awareness among the public at large.
Operations
Lions Club of Thane North also conducts free operations for the needy patients on regular basis.
Club In association with Jupiter Hospital also conducts free Orthopeadic check-up camps and operations for the underpriveledged
